Cuomo banned the state to cooperate with organizations that promote discrimination

The Governor of the state of new York, Andrew Cuomo signed an order prohibiting the state from doing business with companies that promote or ignore cases discriminations and expressed his support of the bill, which would prohibit legal use «gay panic» (a motive for justification for the crime, when the orientation of the victim is called as a cause of aggression of the attacker) while defending in court.

In a press release, published on Sunday, Cuomo turned his criticism on the administration of the trump, saying that the push for the censure of discrimination is necessary because the Federal government «waives the protection of key civil rights.»

«This decree in the state of new York establishes our commitment to the protection of the rights of everyone. We resort to robust measures of protection from discrimination and we will continue to consolidate the results already obtained for the protection of all residents, not just some of us.»

State structures, which are subject to disposal Cuomo to include those agencies or departments that are controlled by the authorities of the state, and all corporations in the public interest, boards and commissions. The only exceptions are the port authority of new York and new Jersey.

The state government must now to change procedures contracts to ensure that they do not cooperate with organizations that engage in «policy which does not resolve the discrimination of individuals based on their gender identity, transgender status, gender dysphoria (gender identity disorder)».

Cuomo signed a decree on Saturday. Then the Governor made the comments in support of the ban on the use of «gay panic» during the legal protection at the 17th annual Conference on human rights in Manhattan. Such orders are also in two other States – in Illinois and California.
