May 9, the U.S. Department of State (US Department of State) reported the introduction of restrictions on the few military structures of Russian Federation, who is accused of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
The document, which States on these sanctions, was published on the website of the Federal register (Federal Register).
Among the structures in respect of which were announced limitations are:
- Instrument design Bureau in Tula,
- 183rd guards anti-aircraft missile regiment
- Central research Institute of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation,
- Main intelligence Directorate of the General staff of Russia,
- Training center anti-aircraft missile troops in Gatchina,
- scientific-production concern «barl».
Note that the structure of the GRU are already under sanctionsimposed by the United States earlier.
In addition to the Russian military organizations in the updated sanctions list includes companies and institutions of Iran, Syria, Turkey and Egypt.
Public institutions the United States should immediately cease cooperation with fall under the restrictions of the structures. It is also forbidden to trade with them any equipment and technology.
The duration of the sanctions — 2 years.
