Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with the Austrian TV channel ORF has accused the political opposition in the United States in difficulties of the organization of his meeting with the American leader Donald trump.
In April, the media became aware that the 20 March trump called Putin and invited him to the White house. However, since then the already fragile relations between Washington and Moscow deteriorated in connection with the Syrian conflict and the poisoning of former GRU officer Sergei Skripal in the UK.
In may, Putin said that the organization of the proposed summit, there are problems. Answering a question of journalist ORF about why the process of preparation for the meeting taking so long, the Russian leader said
«You should ask our colleagues in the United States. In my opinion, this is the result of a fierce political contest in the United States.»
However, despite the aggravation of Russian-American relations and the exchange of harsh comments (in particular, Russia has promised to knock down all of the American missiles in Syria), a conflict between the two countries are unlikely to escalate into military confrontation.
«In one of our last conversations Donald said he was concerned about the danger of a new arms race. I fully agree with him,» — said Vladimir Putin in an interview, announced on the Austrian TV.

As reported by two sources Wall Street Journal the White house, the President’s Administration is working on organizing the summit, but the planning is still at an early stage. In this regard, the U.S. Ambassador to Russia John Hunstman arrived in Washington.
