Russian President Vladimir Putin put his signature to the bill that allows to impose reciprocal restrictions in relation to the American state. The official name of the law «About measures of impact (reaction) to the unfriendly actions of the United States of America and other foreign countries.»
This decision will enable the government to take counter-sanctions against the United States. In the opinion of management of the country, thus Russia will be able to adequately respond to the West engaged in a «policy of confrontation«.
The restrictions that can be imposed, should not touch the essential goods and products having no analogues in Russia. Suggestions on possible counter-sanctions introduces the UN security Council of the Russian Federation and the head of state will finally approve the list. The restrictions may be imposed in respect of the whole state, and against specific organizations, companies and officials.
It is noteworthy that in the first version of the bill, officials of the Russian Federation proposed to block shipments of drugs from USA. However, when it became clear that to replace these medications Russia is not in the state, the society criticized the initiative. Skeptical was met and the proposal to ban the work of foreign specialists in Russia. Subsequently, the government revised the law and made significant changes.
Experts predict that in Russia the growth of prices for goods, because now companies will have to increase the cost of passing the extra control. Major retailers have confirmed the fears of economists and also announced an impending price increase.
