This month, July 16, in Helsinki will meet trump and Putin, and one of the items on the agenda will be a discussion of the status of the Crimean Peninsula and its future.
As reported by Bloomberg, during his interview on Board the presidential plane trump hinted to the journalists that the meeting with Putin may recognize the Crimea Russian.
Answering the question of whether the United States to recognize the Peninsula part of the Russian Federation, trump vague said: «Look.» Similarly, he answered the question about the possible lifting of sanctions: «We will see what Russia will do». The President also said that talk «with him [Putin] about everything. We will discuss Ukraine, Syria and the election. We don’t want anybody to interfere in elections.»
Earlier at the summit «the Big seven» in Quebec, the US President spoke about the situation with the Crimean Peninsula a Pro-Russian way: he has refused to criticize Putin for the annexation of Crimea, accusing in this situation, the administration of Barack Obama. Then, according to an anonymous source, the President said at a diplomatic dinner that if in the Crimea, all the residents speak Russian, the Peninsula is Russian.

He also noted that Moscow is restoring annexed in 2014, the territory, spent too much money spent. However, in may the US state Department, in the person of Heather Nauert, condemned Russia for the construction and opening of the Crimean bridge across the Kerch Strait.
