Trump canceled the principle of racial diversity in higher education, adopted under Obama

The administration of President Donald trump on Tuesday, July 3, overturned recommendations for colleges and universities, calling for students to be guided by the principle of racial diversity.

A number of recommendations on racial diversity in schools was adopted when the previous President Barack Obama. According to the US attorney General Jeff and Roman sessions, these recommendations «are not needed, outdated and incompatible with current legislation».

Note that neither of the provisions enacted under Obama, nor their abolition by the administration of trump, do not have the status of legislation. It is rather a guide to action, equate, however, to the official position of the Federal authorities.

The conservatives have repeatedly argued that the principle of racial diversity hurts the white American students.

Democrats have already spoken out against the decision of trump. «The abolition of these recommendations, offends the values of our country, which promises equal opportunities for all,» said Nancy Pelosi, the democratic leader in the House of representatives of the Congress of the United States.

In November 2017, the Ministry of justice has begun investigating complaints from more than 60 Asian-American organizations. In their appeals approved, that the policy of Harvard University — was discriminatory, because it limits the admission of Asian Americans. Harvard denies these accusations, claiming that its policy of admission of students is fully consistent with the laws of the United States.

Recall that Starbucks will pay 2 victims of racial discrimination training at the University.
