Scott Pruitt resigned

The head of the Agency for environmental protection (Environmental Protection Agency, or EPA), Scott Pruitt, resigned on Thursday, 5 July.

Tweeted trump confirmed that he «accepted the resignation of Scott Pruett as head of the EPA. Scott has done a wonderful job, and I will always be grateful to him for it».

The President added that under the leadership Pruitt the Agency has made «enormous progress, and EPA — great future», and said that on Monday, the place Pruitt is Andrew Wheeler.

Since its inauguration, Scott Pruitt has been at the centre of many scandals associated with the alleged abuse of power and excessive waste. At the moment, he opened at least a dozen cases. Pruitt also repeatedly criticized by environmentalists, who believed the chosen policy of the Agency is detrimental to the environment.
