The Ministry of defense of the United States will give Ukraine $200 million

The U.S. Department of defense said it will send an additional $200 million to Ukraine in the cooperation framework for strengthening the country’s defense. This gesture confirms long-term agreement between the two countries. The amount allocated in 2014 to Ukraine the Pentagon assistance will amount to $1 billion.

Additional funds will be used for training programs to commanders of the armed forces, equipment, system tracking and notification, military transportation and medicine.

The Ministry of defence said that Ukraine recently adopted the Law on national security was an important step on the path to NATO and will strengthen the country’s ability to defend its territorial integrity and security. Delivery and placement of equipment will be known later.

The announcement was made after the summit, trump and Putin in Helsinki, which, among other things, discussed the military conflict in Ukraine and the annexation of Crimea by Russia.
