Petition in support of Sentsov has collected 100 thousand signatures — despite the closed access for Ukraine

A petition on the White house website calling on the U.S. to help in the release from a Russian prison Ukrainian film Director Oleg Sentsov, was supported by more than 100 thousand people. So now the presidential administration is obliged to consider the petition and to give an official response.

Recently everyone who is in the territory of Ukraine, had access to the page of the petition. On the official page of Save Oleg Sentsov suggested that it may be associated with two options: either the Ukrainians «flunked» the White house, or were organized hacker attack from Ukrainian IP addresses. After the incident, the activists urged to go to the page of the petition with the help of VPN and also activate the Diaspora to collect the remaining votes.

The result is 2 days before the end of voting the petition is still gathered the necessary 100 thousand signatures.
