The Ministry of Finance of the United States imposed new sanctions against legal entities and individuals related to the illegal annexation of Crimea and Russian aggression in Eastern Ukraine.
The sanctions hit some of the resorts on the Crimean Peninsula, including «ay-Petri», «Mishor» and «Dulber» that belongs to «the Management company of infrastructure projects». The head of the company Vladimir Zaretsky is also in the sanctions list. In addition, under the sanctions were the resort of «Mriya» and the company «Garant-SV», which controls «Sberbank of Russia».
The sanctions will also affect the famous Crimean winery «Noviy Svet». This happened due to the fact that there was a company «the southern project», which owns the plant and is associated with the «Sberbank of Russia», whose owner, businessman Yuri Kovalchuk, is under sanctions.
Under the sanctions also hit the so-called Ministry of state security of the self-proclaimed Luhansk people’s Republic, a former employee of the GRU, Russia Andrey Sushko, «Krymtel».
Interestingly, on new sanctions, the U.S. Treasury has once again declared before a possible meeting of the presidents of trump and Putin on the events in Paris marking the anniversary of the end of the First world war.
«The United States has used new opportunities for the prosecution of the Russian entities responsible for serious human rights violations in the occupied parts of Ukraine, or otherwise committed steps to promote the aggressive lines of the Kremlin», — commented on the new sanctions-Secretary for terrorism and financial intelligence at the U.S. Treasury Department, the Segal Mandelker.
