In the Senate blocked a bill designed to protect spectacular Muller from dismissal

November 14, U.S. senators had to consider the question of the protection of the special Prosecutor Robert Mueller at the legislative level.

As expected, the bill would be blocked by the majority leader, Republican Mitch McConnell. According to him, such bill is not necessary, because the US President is not going to dismiss spectacular. However, other senators, especially the Democratic party do not share his opinions.

The statements that Robert Mueller should be protected from possible dismissal came after the US President dismissed the General Prosecutor Jeff and Roman sessions. One of the initiators of this draft bill are Republican Jeff Flake and Democrat Chris Queens. In their opinion, the appointment of Matthew Whitaker acting attorney General shows Donald trump the desire to block the «Russian case», the investigation of which involved Muller.

Members of the Democratic party, who in January will gain control of the House of representatives in the U.S. Congress, noted that the bill on the protection of the special Prosecutor will be their priority. Their aspirations are shared by some influential Republican senators. Among them are Lindsey Graham and Chuck Grassley.

However, most political experts are skeptical about the chances of the Democrats for success in this business. It is unlikely that the opponents of Donald trump will be able to get the 60 votes needed for approval of the bill, especially if you consider the fact that the Republicans after the midterm elections reinforced their positions in the Senate. Even less likely scenario in which a US President will sign such a bill.
