An alarming report published by the representatives of the Commission on national defence strategy (National Defense Strategy Commission, NDSC).
According to the report, the United States worried deep crisis in the «national security». This document was prepared at the request of the U.S. Congress and, according to some experts, indicates a serious problem in this area.

An independent Commission concluded that the armed forces of the United States lost air superiority over potential adversaries, and, in case of war, there is a high probability of defeat. Moreover, NDSC sure the Pentagon is not ready to participate in 2 full-scale conflicts at the same time. This means that if China and Russia United, the defeat is almost inevitable.
«The U.S. military superiority in the present circumstances is not guaranteed. It carries grave consequences for American interests and national security», – say the representatives of NDSC.
The experts also considered several possible scenarios of future conflicts. Among them is the scenario under which Russia will carry out the invasion of the Baltic States. As a pretext for a possible aggression, the Russian leadership is using the familiar version with a false message concerning the infringement of the rights Russian-speaking population.
According to the report, the armed forces of the enemy will try to strike at critical infrastructure facilities. We are talking about a transatlantic fiber networks, cyber attacks against financial and energy system of the United States, as well as against commercial and military satellites.

«Big cities will be paralyzed, the Internet and mobile communications – broken. Financial markets will experience a sharp drop, trading stops, and the speed of online transactions is considerably reduced. The banking system will be plunged into chaos. While the American army tries to cope with large-scale operational task of liberation of the Baltic States, U.S. residents will feel the destructive impact of contemporary conflict,» the report says.
The leadership of the Ministry of defense stated that the report indicates the seriousness of the existing problems. The Pentagon is going to carefully analyse the document and make the appropriate conclusions.
«The Ministry will carefully consider each recommendation in the framework of ongoing efforts to strengthen the defense of our country, and looks forward to working with the Commission and the Congress in this area,» said johnny Michael, a Pentagon spokesman.
