The organizers of the funeral movement by Moonanum James and Motown Munroe, speaking to the comrades stressed that the indigenous population of America has no reason to celebrate the arrival of the colonists, and they need to recognize the true history of thanksgiving: «If we ever gain some sense of community, we must first turn to the truth.»

Associates Munro and James will beat the drums and prayers. Speakers at the rally moral support of migrants from Mexico and denounced the construction of pipelines, crippling the outdoors.

As we celebrate with friends and family there are those who mourn on this day and without them we would not be here on this day, our first winter we would have all died. We repaid them with genocide. It is a sad day .

I sympathize with the grief of indigenous people and some descendants of the European colonists. «We celebrate with friends and family, but there are those who mourn this day, and without them we would not be here in our first winter we all would have died. We repay them with genocide. It is a sad day. It’s called #NationalDayOfMourning,» writes Twitter user under the name Sandra.
