Worn shoes Ocasio-Cortez entered the fashion collection at Cornell

Shoes that inheritance in the House of representatives and in the history of America’s 29-year-old Congressman-Democrat from the Bronx Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez entered the fashion collection at Cornell and will be on display in the framework of EMPOWERED WOMEN: Fashions from the Frontline.

«We can’t think of a better example of fashion from the front: U.S. Congressman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from the 14th district of new York lent us his first pair of shoes campaign. These boots represent hard work, dedication, determination and commitment of the youngest women ever elected to Congress», — explained the meaning of the exhibit visit Cornell on instagram.

Clothing Alexandria not the first time becomes an occasion for discussion. Around one series of photos (at the top of the stairs) and it was a scandal: political opponents, said that she buys things that they could not «earn». Ocasio-Cortez in response said that the clothes in the pictures does not belong. Photos were made by fashion photographer Gillian Laub in the framework of a photo shoot for Interview magazine. Clothing (blazer and pants Gabriela Hurst) was dressed only at the time of the shooting.

And yet, detractors called the victory Ocasio-Cortez in the elections, «demographic», hinting that her voice gave her beautiful eyes.

Then Alexandria and demonstrated a few of its workers «boxers», which she had worn on Board during the race. «These two,» she and opened doors in Congress: «I knocked at the door as rain water leaked through my soles».

Some folks are saying I won for “demographic” reasons.

WOMEN EMPOWERED: Fashions from the Frontline will open on 6 December at the Human Ecology Building on the level of T, and in addition shoes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, where you will see historical collars Supreme court justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a dress from a suffrage activist Olivia «Livy» Langdon, skirt Janet Reno, the inaugural suit of the Governor of Texas Ann Richards and, of course, fashion collection from Cornell.
