Voters trump offered to chip in for the construction of a border wall

To raise funds for the construction of a wall between Mexico and the United States, the New York Post columnist Michael Goodwin has proposed to launch a crowdfunding campaign.

«It is clear that the public supports stronger border security. I think that most Americans understand: the wall — part of the solution to our border problems,» said Goodwin live on Fox & Friends.

To the question, is there a way to build a wall not at the expense of budgetary funds, the guest of Fox News channel said:

«You can even create a page on GoFundMe. Or any other crowdfunding platform. Many will want to contribute, I’m sure. One reader wrote to me: “If each of the 63 million people who voted for Donald trump, made their $80, the necessary billions would be collected”. You know, the collection mechanism — it tenth. It is important that the public can step in and effectively do what the wishes of their President.»

Earlier, the leaders of the Democrats in Congress, Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi has said it will not allocate $5 billion, which requires the President trump for the construction of the wall. Because of the differences in the adoption of the budget on December 21 the U.S. government faces a partial shutdown.

According to estimates of Bloomberg, the total value of walls, depending on its length, will be from $8 to $67 billion.

On Sunday, the adviser to trump Steven Miller was blamed for a possible shutdown on Democrats.

«Before the Democratic party a simple choice: they can either stand up for the working class of America, or «promote» illegal immigration. You can’t do both at the same time,» said Miller.
