Yesterday, 19 Dec, Barack Obama, wearing a hat of Santa Claus and scored a bag of gifts, came to Children’s National Hospital in Washington (D. C.).
Staff and visitors to the hospital and met the 44th U.S. President with loud cheers and the traditional Christmas «We Wish You a Merry Christmas». Video with singing and a short speech Obama has already collected more than 3 million views.
After a warm welcome «Santa» went through the wards to entertain the children with gifts. One of the small patients, seeing Obama covering his mouth in surprise, and when he hugged her — and cried.
«Merry Christmas and happy holidays to incredible children, families and staff of Children’s National. And thank you for accepting me as a substitute Santa,» wrote the predecessor to trump on Twitter.

As stated by Washington Post CEO and President Children’s National Health System Kurt Newman, children «talk about [the visit] for years.»
«At such a sensitive time of the year when no one wants to be in the hospital, his sincere warmth uplifting children, parents and every employee, whom he met on the way,» said Newman.
