Among them, in particular, there have been proposals — funding pre-school education for every child in the United States, or coverage of health care costs for hundreds of thousands of Americans in the course of the year. But the us leader continues to insist, despite the 6-day shutdown: the wall is the main priority for the United States.

But, it turns out, most Americans do not share his opinion. According to a survey by Business Insider that on December 21-22, held firm SurveyMonkey Audience, only 19% of 1025 respondents agree with trump.
A question that was answered by the Americans, was: «How best to use $5.7 billion from Federal funding?». And suggested four possible answers:
- to build part of the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border;
- to Finance the program of preschool education for every child in the United States during the year;
- to pay the health care costs of about 530 thousand Americans a year;
- to invest in improved infrastructure.
Most votes were cast for the payment of health care costs — 36%. In second place was infrastructure, voted for by 30%. And only then were the wall with 19% of votes. The remaining 15% of the respondents supported the idea of funding preschool programs.
Democrats and Republicans of the Senate still have not come to a compromise because trump says he will not sign the budget for next year, which will not be allocated money on the wall. Thus, if today, December 28, will not change anything, the government shutdown will be one week.
