Incident Ocasio-Cortez: the suitability of the Capitol for the dwelling of persons with average incomes?

«I live in the Bronx and work in Washington. Need housing in both… But I understand that they (the critics-Republicans) can’t imagine a life in which people, for whatever mysterious reasons are not able to afford 2 homes,» answered his detractors on Twitter Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Earlier 29-year-old Congresswoman is a Democrat said that can not afford to obtain a paycheck in Congress to take shelter in the «expensive» Washington. It continues to be the target of attacks — but only if the earlier critics taunted, now came to dangerous conclusions.

The thing Republicans taking cheap shots forget to mention is that it’s about having trouble affording a SECOND apartment.

I live in the Bronx and work in DC. Need a spot in both.

But I understand how they can’t conceive of a life where people don’t casually maintain 2 homes. https://t.co/K2cxCcRyk9

Candace Owens wrote that «AOC is so financially irresponsible, not saved enough money to rent an apartment in the heart of Washington, D.C.»

Imagine thinking it’s a worker’s fault they can’t pay rent in DC *and* NYC [conveniently omitted from Candace»s tweet] and not a problem attributable to low wages failing to keep up with inflation and cost-of-living. pic.twitter.com/gFjkjzVBvY

Activist Jordan UHL reduced this idea to absurdity: «it is Great that @AOC were able to pay the rent during the election campaign, especially in the post-election / pre-oath. Expect it easy to pay serious money in another area with a high rent is ridiculous and only perpetuates the idea that the rich are worthy of places [in the government]».

Along with the ridicule made after Ocasio-Cortez took time off to care for themselves (in Washington the person with average incomes very difficult, in her estimation, to keep proper form) and disputes about the photo shoot for a fashion magazine, this opens up a very complex problem. Despite the democratic nature of the state, the capital of the USA is simply not intended for a policy with a low level of personal income. Getting to Capitol hill poor girl from the Bronx becomes a problem, not descending from the Central pages of Newspapers.

Behind every strong woman… are more strong women. 😉

After the elections the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that «there are many small ways in which our electoral system is not even developed (or not prepared) for people from the working class to lead it». It turns out, there are many ways to give then this Congressman to work. It only remains to wish the 29-year-old strength and hardness, to steadfastly and bravely endure all the hardships and privations of public service in Washington.
