Due to the shutdown of the airports in new York, Philadelphia, and Newark delayed the flight

Because of the shutdown of the State aviation administration (FAA) briefly suspended flights at new York’s LaGuardia airport. Flights stopped on the morning of January 25 after 10:00 and resumed at 11:00.

Delays have also been in the airports in Newark Liberty International and Philadelphia International. FAA officials say they are working to mitigate the situation by increasing staffing and the distance between the aircraft, changing a route when necessary. Passengers can follow the flight on fly.faa.gov.

The white house announced that the President trump was informed of the developments at the airports.

The #TrumpShutdown has already pushed hundreds of thousands of Americans to the breaking point. Now it’s pushing our airspace to the breaking point too.

According to the FAA, at the international airport Newark Liberty International had delays of 45 to 59 minutes, while delays at Philadelphia International was 1 hour, from 1 minute to 1 hour and 15 minutes. Later Friday morning, the FAA said that in Philadelphia there were no more delays.

In TSA noted that 99.9% of the passengers delayed more than 30 minutes at checkpoints.

In a joint statement, the heads of the National Association of air traffic controllers (NATCA), the Association of pilots of air lines and the Association of flight attendants (CWA) wrote that they were concerned about the security of Union members, airlines and passengers.

NATCA stated that it did not approve the coordinated activities of the airport workers, which negatively affects the national airspace system, but the situation in government had a negative impact on life. Managers have reached a critical point of concern caused by the shutdown and associated delayed salaries. Civil servants missed their second paycheck on Friday. This has exacerbated the stress of air traffic controllers, who perform precarious and hard work.
