In Saratoga looking for vandals, izrisovala statue dedicated to the victory in the Second world

Florida state police looking for vandals izrisovala in Sarasota statue of a sailor kissing girl — famous work, the symbol of victory and homecoming in 1945. Unknown painted on the leg of the girl in red #MeToo big on the whole foot. The estimated damage is around $1000, not counting caused by people’s outrage.

At approximately 12:53 am, our Officers were dispatched to the intersection of N Gulfstream Ave & Bayfront Dr reference to an unknown individual spray painting ‘# MeToo’ on the Unconditional Surrender statue. Additional information is at https://t.co/gv10lGhcja pic.twitter.com/JakU8aI7QY

The prototype of the statue served as a real person — Greta Zimmer Friedman, the former then a dental assistant, and George mendonsa, a sailor, who died Sunday at the age of 95 years. Their first kiss was captured by photographers. Photos, as we would say today, went viral and then inspired the sculptor who created the statue at the corner of Gulfstream Ave and N Bayfront Dr in Sarasota.

#MeToo — can mean the slogan against sexual violence or to be used by radical female activists.

As reported SarasotaPD, officers saw the writing on the night of Tuesday, apparently, did it in the evening or at night, unfortunately, near the site of the incident no surveillance cameras. Police are asking anyone who may have seen who did it, to inform the police Department of Sarasota.
