Former Congressman from Texas and a rising star in the Democratic party Robert «Beto» O’rourke has joined the long list of Democrats who want to compete with Donald Trump in the presidential election next year.
In the video, published March 14 in the social networks, O’rourke, sitting next to his wife Amy in their hometown of El Paso (TX) has officially announced its intention.

«It will be a positive campaign, aims to bring out the best in each of us that strives to unite a very divided country, he said in the video. The only way for us to fulfill the promise of America is to give our all and give them to all of us.»
According to O’rourke, he will «travel the country» in a study tour, and then return to El Paso to participate in the opening rally on March 30.
The young politician, though not won the midterm election in 2018, replaced by Republican Ted Cruz, but have achieved greater success than any Democrat in Texas, for decades, campaigning for the support of the media, which fueled the Democratic party throughout the country and conducted a comparison with former President Barack Obama.
It is called one of the most promising candidates, but among its competitors on primaris there are equally strong contenders. For example, Senator Bernie Sanders, who joined the presidential race in February, raised $6 million in donations for the election campaign for the first 24 hours.
