Ilhan Omar: congressional immigrants will fight against increasing 10% immigration fees when making petitions

Torres (D-CA), Adriano Espaillat (D-NY) ), Salud Carbajal (D-CA), jesús G. «Chuy» Garcia (D-IL), Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), Raja Krishnamurthy (D-IL), Ted Liu (D-CA), Tom Malinowski ( D-NJ), Debbie Moukarzel-Powell (D-FL) and Albio Cyrus (D-NJ) signed a joint statement which called the idea of the White house «cruel» plan:

«As first generation immigrants, we are shocked by the administration’s proposal to increase immigration fees. The administration has not provided justification for the fee increase for the hardworking, law-abiding immigrants… Although the President trump has repeatedly stated that he is focused on the dangers of illegal immigration, this unfounded and cruel sentence makes clear that his real purpose is to counter the immigration, even if conducted through the appropriate channels. If the administration seriously intends to pursue this policy, we will do our best to block it».
