Monday, March 18, President Donald trump said that he donated $100k of his salary to the Ministry of internal security (Department of Homeland Security — DHS).
Trump tweeted a picture of his check and wrote that the media do not «love to write about that,» he makes donations from their own pockets.
«Although the press did not like to write about it.., I give his annual presidential salary of $400 thousand to various institutions during the year. This [the check] to the Ministry of internal security,» — said the head of the White house, adding that if he did not, the «fake news» would suit him hell.

As CNN reported, although trump has pledged to donate his salary DHS, Federal rules prohibit agencies make this kind of money unless Congress gives the Agency the necessary authority. Without the permission of the donated money will be deposited to the General Fund of the Treasury.
Since taking office, the President donated his salary to a number of government agencies. Part of his salary, according to the administration, went to fight with opioid dependence, the creation of camps at Princeton University, in which studying science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), and to restoration projects at Antietam National Battlefield.
Previously, trump has donated to the Department of veterans Affairs, the ministries of transport, national Park Service, the Ministry of education and Ministry of health and social services. In January, the American leader has donated a quarter of his salary to the National Institute against alcohol abuse and alcoholism. (Senior President’s brother, Fred trump Jr., died in 43 years after a large part of his life he struggled with alcoholism.) And in October of 2018 trump gave $100 thousand to Management on Affairs of small business.
