Sunday, April 14, Democrat told Yahoo News podcast Skullduggery that she gave up her personal account on the world’s largest social network, but its campaign continues to sponsor a few active listings in Facebook.

The Congresswoman said that her departure from Facebook was «important», because it was crucial for her campaign. Both technologist broke up with the social network amid boycott users after Facebook gave Cambridge Analytica personal information of millions of users.

A study of the Pew Research center showed that 74% of adult Facebook users in the United States have done one of the following: changed the privacy settings refused a platform or remove it. However, the figures indicate that some of the people who have left the platform, came back, and that the company still attracts new users.
