62 people arrested in climate protests in new York. The protests will continue on the weekend

This morning the activists of the new York environmental Department of the radical organization «the revolt of the dying» came to city hall, filling the outdoor space around the building. Was attended by approximately 100-200 people. Police arrested 62 of the participant, that is, almost every third.

«The revolt of the dying» published on its website a call today to come to city hall to force the government to recognize the threat of global warming and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 2025. Some of the protesters lay on the pavement, blocking traffic. The police acted tough, but no one was hurt, the representatives of the NYPD, said that 60 detainees charged with disorderly conduct, and two of the fiercest — in the creation of threats to human life. They climbed on lamp posts and leaflets «a dangerous method».
