Lawyer Donald trump, Rudy Giuliani announced his plans to go to Ukraine in the coming days in an attempt to facilitate investigations, which, he said, can help the President.
On Thursday, Giuliani told The New York Times that he plans to ask elected but not yet entered the office of the Ukrainian President to investigate the «Russian intervention» in U.S. elections, and the influence of former Vice-President of the USA Joe Biden on the country.
Trump’s lawyer said: «We do not interfere in elections, we interfere in the investigation, to which we are entitled». He added: «there is nothing illegal. Someone can say that this is inappropriate. But it is not foreign policy, I ask them to investigate what they already do, and other people tell them to stop. And I’m going to give them reasons why they should not stay in, as this information will be very useful for my client and can be useful for my government».
The Times reported that the purpose of the meeting was to try to cast doubt on the reliability of the investigation Robert Mueller and the case against the former head of the election campaign Donald trump Paul Manafort.
