Four Republican house of representatives supported the Democrats by condemning the «racist» trump addressed to Congresswoman

Yesterday, July 16, the U.S. House of representatives adopted a resolution condemning «racist statements» President Donald trump.

240 lawmakers supported this decision, and 187 opposed. Representatives of the Republican party will Hurd from Texas, Susan Brooks of Indiana, Fred Upton from Michigan and Brian Fitzpatrick of Pennsylvania joined his fellow Democrats and voted in favor of the adoption of the resolution.

The document condemns the tweets of the President of the four progressive legislators, known as the «Detachment» of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashid Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and Anne Pressley.

We are talking about a series of tweets from July 13, in which trump said women democratic «return» to their countries of origin. While three of the Congresswoman were born in the United States, and Omar immigrated to the U.S. from Somalia as a refugee.

Will Hurd, a native of Texas, is the only member of the house of representatives of the African-American Republican, expressed his opinion on this matter.

«He needs to talk about things that unite rather than divide us,» said Hurd during an interview with CNN.

«I agree with much of what the President is doing from a political point of view, tax reform, immigration, when it comes to border security, noted another Republican Brian Fitzpatrick, supported the resolution. But with his tone I do not agree».

Such rhetoric «unacceptable for the leader, what would he the place was not occupied,» added Congressman Fred Upton.
