78 year old Senator, one of the main contenders for the U.S. presidency in 2020, Bernie Sanders was hospitalized on Tuesday (October 1) night in Las Vegas.
«During a campaign event last night Senator Sanders has experienced some discomfort in his chest. After medical inspection he was found to have a blockage in one artery,» said Wednesday, October 2, a senior adviser to Sanders Jeff weaver.
Sanders is one of the most senior members of the presidential race — is still in the hospital, but his condition is good.
«Senator Sanders is talking and in good spirits. He will rest for the next few days, said weaver. — We cancel his events and performances until further notice, and we will continue to provide relevant updates.»
President Donald Trump, who was the oldest elected President, 73. If elected, Sanders will break the record of predecessor.
