Trump praised Poland for financial loyalty to NATO

On Thursday, the President trump praised Poland for the fulfilment of their financial obligations to NATO and warned other European countries that they still need to pay debts.

«Europe must do more. Europe must demonstrate that it believes in its future, investing in this future,» said Donald trump during his speech in Warsaw. «That is why we want to pay tribute to the Polish people for the fact that Poland is one of the countries of NATO, which has actually achieved the target for investment in our common defense. Thank you, thank you, Poland».

Trump said that his previous calls for increased investment in defense has led to the fact that «billions and billions» of dollars poured into the Alliance.

The commander of us forces also stressed the U.S. commitment to the proposal for the mutual defence of NATO, what he failed to mention during his visit to Brussels in may of this year.

«Those who are our tough stance may seem wrong, I would like to say that the United States is demonstrated not only by words but actions that demonstrate that we adhere to in Article 5 — obligations in the field of mutual defense. Easy to say, but really important things.»

Speech in Warsaw, was preceded by a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the G20 summit in Germany this week. While trump has managed seriously enough to speak out against Russia.

«We call on Russia to end destabilizing activities in Ukraine and in other countries, stop supporting hostile regimes, including Syria and Iran, and, instead, to join the community of responsible Nations in our fight against common enemies and the protection of civilization».

Before his speech at Warsaw’s Krasinski square, the trump discussed the questionof mestella Russia to elections in the United States, claiming that not only Moscow could intervene in the presidential race.

«Nobody knows that for sure,» said the President.
