Trump argues that the United States is «very close» to developing a vaccine against coronavirus Covid-19

Amid growing fears that the coronavirus outbreak could become a pandemic, the US President , Donald trump defended nearly two dozen of the infected Americans that returned home.

The American leader said that «we are very close to [the development of] a vaccine». The white house later claimed that trump was referring to Ebola, not death COVID-19.

During a press conference in India, the President was asked to comment on his criticism towards the Obama administration in 2014, when a patient with Ebola back in the United States.

«A patient with Ebola will be brought to the United States in a few days — now I know that our leaders are incompetent — trump wrote on Twitter July 31, 2014. — LEAVE THEM THERE!»

In response, the US President said that between the Ebola virus and the coronavirus is a big difference.

«A big, big difference. It’s like night and day, — said trump. — I felt that we should bring them back, they are Americans, we have to return them. Ebola is a very explosive, it is very terrible. We make huge strides in the fight against Ebola.»

According to trump, the mortality rate from Ebola was «virtual 100%» compared with the «1 or 2%» to coronavirus or COVID-19.

«Now they have it, they studied it, they know a lot. In fact, we are very close to the vaccine,» said trump.

Monday, February 24, The Wall Street Journal reported that the pharmaceutical company Moderna just sent the first batch of its vaccine COVID-19 government scientists in the United States.

On Tuesday, trump said that «we are doing an excellent job» in combating coronavirus.

«I believe that this problem will disappear,» said trump about the outbreak COVID-19 at the beginning of the business roundtable in new Delhi.

The number of cases of Ebola in the United States reached 53. Most of the patients are passengers on Board the cruise liner Diamond Princess.

The death toll from COVID-19 worldwide is more than 2700 people, and the total number of those infected — more than 80 thousand
