According to the Associated Press, trump told journalists that there is concern that an employee of the Center for control and prevention of diseases (CDC) «potentially infected with the coronavirus». The American leader later added that, according to the analyses, this person has not found a virus.
In a statement to the AP, the White house said that trump will no longer visit the Centre, because he «did not want to interfere in the mission of the CDC to protect the health and welfare of their people and the Agency.»
The bill, signed by trump, provides Federal health authorities money on vaccines, tests and potential treatment. The bill also contains $500 million for the expansion of access to health services for the elderly.
Trump signed the bill the next day after the Senate voted for it: 96 for, 1 against. Sen Rand Paul (ky) was the only Senator who voted against the measure, and 3 abstained.
