Donald trump has declared a nationwide state of emergency in the U.S. due to coronavirus

US President , Donald trump declared a state of emergency in the country in response to the crisis caused by the coronavirus.

Friday, March 13, stated that it had allocated billions of dollars in Federal aid and connected government Agency for disaster management to help in the fight against fast-spreading respiratory infection.

In his address, trump said he signed a Declaration of disaster in accordance with the Stafford Act, which allocates about $ 50 billion from public funds and allows the Federal emergency management Agency to take proactive role in the fight against the virus.

«To reveal all the powers of the Federal government, I officially declare a state of emergency in the country. Two very big words,» said trump.

The the Stafford act was periodically used by presidents in response to natural disasters. It’s unusual — though not unprecedented — to apply the law in relation to the public health crises that affect the entire country.

The law allows FEMA to establish temporary medical facilities, to help States and local authorities in disaster prevention and to provide logistics in the affected areas.

We will remind, the President of Brazil was diagnosed with the coronavirus after a few days after the meeting with trump.
