Trump and Putin discussed the coronavirus — Russia sent in aid of US aircraft with medical equipment

Russia sent a planeload of medical equipment in the United States to help in the fight against coronavirus after a telephone conversation between U.S. President Donald trump and the President of Russia Vladimir Putin on Monday, April 30.

The Russian Embassy on Tuesday, March 31, announced on Twitter page that «Russia can send a plane with medical equipment and means of protection in the US on Tuesday».

According to Reuters, the flight took off on Wednesday, April 1, early in the morning.

This occurred after the briefing on Monday, March 30, trump said that Russia sent some medical assistance.

«And I have to say that we have excellent relations with many countries, said trump. — China sent us something. It was great. Russia has sent us a very, very large cargo, medical equipment. It’s very nice.»

According to the post Embassy, Russia will be hoping to help the United States if a pandemic coronavirus will become more serious within the country’s borders.

«It is important that, offering assistance to American counterparts, President Putin is guided by the following consideration: when medical device manufacturers gain momentum, they will be able to reciprocate, if need be,» — said in a statement.

In the message of the Russian Embassy on Facebook says Putin offered the Trump aid during a conversation.

«Knowing about the serious epidemiological situation in America, the Russian side suggested medical equipment and protective gear as assistance», — quotes Putin’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

The news about the phone call between trump and Putin that the White house released on Monday, was not mentioned on the discussion of Russian medical care in the USA.
