Presidential candidate Joe Biden said that Americans should «think more» about politics after coronavirus

The presidential candidate of the Democratic party , Joe Biden said that the crisis caused by the coronavirus, provides the «opportunity» to change the attitudes of Americans to the policy of wage and global warming.

«I think we should look at it totally different, Biden said during a speech on CNN, when asked if he wants now to consider the question of universal healthcare, basic income, or other ideas that were once considered overly ambitious. And I think that the way to overcome this is that we need to do to stimulate the economy, but then we have to rebuild».

Biden cited a «New deal» of President Franklin D. Roosevelt — a series of public works projects of the 1930-ies after the great depression — noting that «every great change» in America began with the crisis.

«And I think that now we have the opportunity to significantly change the thinking of the American people that he was not willing to do even 2, 3 years ago,» said Biden.

According to the politician, in the current circumstances, people are much more pay attention to those who save their lives.

«These are people who should be treated better. I think you’ll see that the minimum wage will increase,» — said the former Vice President of the United States.

Biden also said that the economic recovery we need to consider «global warming» and to include environmental policy.

«We now have the opportunity to adopt a law on the recovery, real recovery. We can radically change the science regarding global warming. And we can create, really create 10 million good paying jobs. We can do this. It is in our power to do it.»
