Trump said that can extend social distancing to early summer

President Donald trump said that his administration may extend guidelines on social distancing to early summer.

«We can [do it] and can even extend,» said trump at a press briefing at the White house, when asked whether to renew Federal regulations until at least the beginning of the summer.

Trump’s comments came the next day after numerous White house officials acknowledged that the United States probably will still fight against the deadly coronavirus in the fall and winter when the flu season.

A Federal quarantine, which was first introduced in mid-March and has already been extended once, was due to expire at the end of April.

Guidelines the White house is not legally binding for States — many of which have implemented their own rules of social distancing.

On 16 April, the administration trump has published a new list of recommendations on how state leaders can begin the process of opening businesses.
