«I could not break free»: Former model accused Trump of harassment

Former model Amy Dorris, 48, accused President Donald Trump of harassment during the US Open tennis tournament over 20 years ago. According to the woman, after the incident she felt “raped”.

In an exclusive interview with The Guardian, Dorris stated that Trump was waiting for her by the toilet in his VIP box at a tournament in New York on September 5, 1997. The woman, who at that time was 24 years old, decided that he was just waiting for his turn — however, then the billionaire, presumably, pounced on her.

“He just stuck his tongue down my throat and I tried to push him away. — recalls Amy — Then his grip became tighter and he began to feel me everywhere. »

«He held me tightly and I could not break free.»

Dorris says she spent several more days in town after the incident with Trump and Jason Binn, whom she met at the time. Throughout this time, the billionaire no longer tried to force her into an intimate relationship, however, according to Amy, continued to show unwanted signs of attention.

As evidence, Dorris, who now lives in Florida, provided The Guardian with a ticket to the tournament and photos taken during her stay in New York: they show the ex-model with Trump, his 2nd wife Marla Maples and Binn. In other frames, a number of celebrities can be seen with them: from Leonardo DiCaprio to David Blaine.

The woman's story is corroborated by several people to whom she told about the incident. These include a friend from New York and Dorris's mother, whom she called immediately after the alleged attack, as well as a therapist and friends with whom she discussed her stressful experiences.

As Dorris, who is raising twin girls, explained, she planned to talk about what happened in 2016, when several women publicly made similar accusations against Trump, but eventually changed her mind — fearing that it would harm her family. But now that her daughters are almost 13, Amy explains, she intends to «set an example for them.»

«I want them to know that I was not silent and was not afraid to go against someone who did wrong.»

When asked why she continued to spend time with Binn and Trump after the alleged attack, Dorris replied, “I came there from Florida with Jason. I had no money, I did not know where [if necessary] to go. One event followed another and it was all just confusing. »

She added that it was only after a while that she finally realized what exactly happened.

“Some people spend years with their rapists. This happens when you have a traumatic experience: it paralyzes you. »

Presidential officials vehemently deny all of Dorris's claims, insisting that she spoke about the attack to discredit Trump's campaign. Neither Binn nor the celebrities seen in the joint photo of Dorris and the president responded to The Guardian's requests for comment.
