According to a new survey, less than a third of Americans approve of the President’s decision trump the dismissal of the former head of the FBI James Comey last week.
The poll conducted by NBC News / Wall Street Journal, published on Sunday, showed that only 29% of Americans approve of the dismissal of trump the head of the FBI. Another 38% do not approve of this decision, 32% of respondents are unable to formulate an opinion.
The survey also showed that among respondents who saw or heard «a lot» of information about the dismissal of Komi, 53% voted against the President’s decision, and 33% endorsed this decision.
In accordance with the survey, opinions about the President’s decision split on party lines. 58% of Republicans approve of the decision, 66% of Democrats disapprove.
Among independent respondents, 21% approve of the decision, 36% — disapprove.
30% of respondents said that trump’s decision to dismiss the head of the FBI has created a «less favourable impression» on the President.
The approval rating of the President after his decision fell compared to last month, but only one percent to 39% (with an error).
Poll NBC / WSJ was conducted from 11 to 13 may among 800 adult Americans. It has an accuracy of +/- 3.5 percent.
