The FBI raided the home of Manafort

At the end of last month, FBI agents conducted a search in the house of Paul Manafort, the former campaign Manager of President trump.

The agents had a search warrant to seize materials from the residence of Manafort in Alexandria, Virginia, reports The Washington Post, citing a source familiar with Robert Muller, special counsel in the case of intervention of Russia in election.
It is reported that the search took place early in the morning on July 26.

In a statement to ABC News the press-Secretary of Manafort confirmed the search and said that Manafort strongly cooperated with the agents.

«FBI agents raided one of the residences of Mr. Manafort», — said the representative of the press service. «Mr. Manafort consistently cooperated with law enforcement agencies on all matters of investigation.»

According to WP, Federal agents arrived at the house of Manafort without warning and left with some documents. However, how these materials are relevant to the investigation is unknown.

The search was conducted the next day after the meeting of Manafort with the staff of the Intelligence Committee of the Senate, which also is engaged in business in Russia.

Adviser close to the White house, said of WP, if the FBI wanted the documents, they «could just ask for it [Monforte], and he would show them».

Manafort previously provided documentation to a congressional Committee on the investigation of the interference of Russia in the 2016 elections voluntarily.
