The United States will stop issuing non-immigration visas on the territory of Russia starting from August 23.
As the press service of the U.S. Embassy in the Russian Federation, the visa issue will soon be resumed. From 1 September, those interested will be able to obtain a U.S. visa, but only in the Moscow Embassy of the United States.
«Interviews for nonimmigrant visa in the consulates of the USA in St.-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok will be suspended until further notice», – stated in the message of the Embassy.
Since Monday the U.S. diplomatic mission begin to cancel interviews, which were appointed in all the US consulates in the regions of Russia. To reschedule a visa interview, you must contact the Embassy and discuss the date for the passage in Moscow.
It became known that the decision of the Embassy was affected by the downsizing of the American diplomatic missions in Russia.
