Next year in downtown long beach will start construction of a multifunctional complex with residential, commercial and office spaces.

According to the developers of the companies Ratkovich Properties, Urbana Development, and Owl Companies, the complex will consist of two parts — a 21-storey high-rise buildings and 7-storey building. They will be located 141 unit of affordable housing for students at California state University in long beach, 3.5 km2 of commercial space 1.7 km2 of office space.
Broadway Block is the first of its kind complex in long beach. In fact, its future inhabitants will be able to find all the necessities of life without leaving home.
A new project worth $154 million, will become an important and very relevant contribution to Fund affordable housing in the County of Los Angeles, which to date is lacking about 500 thousand units.
Construction is expected to start in 2018.
