In the beginning of the year in downtown Brooklyn ended the construction of a new 26-story building at 210 Livingston Street, one feature of which is the private entrance to the subway. Now there is opened the reception of applications for participation in the lottery for the right to lease 74 brand new apartments.
To participate in the lottery can candidates whose income is 60 percent of the median income for the area. In addition to location, all tenants will have access to the impressive set of amenities (although many will require additional charges), including yard, terrace on the 15th floor, a lounge, a games room, a Laundry room, a fitness centre and an underground garage.
Real estate developers Rose Associates and Benson Capital Partners began construction of a multistory building, designed by the architectural firm Handel Architects, in December 2015, paying $ 1.8 million for the air rights of the neighboring building at 222 Livingston Street.
According to the description of the lottery, the project was named Hoyt & Horn. Obviously, the title a play on the location of the buildings on the corner of Hoyt Street and Livingston Street. On the first floor of the residential building will house shops and its brick façade will not be different from the surrounding buildings.
For participation in the lottery is available:
- 22 studios for $947 per month for candidates with incomes from $34,355 to $40,080 per year.
- 34 one-bedroom apartment for $1,017 per month for candidates with an income of $36,823 to $45,840 per year;
- 18 apartments with two bedrooms for $1,230 per month for candidates with incomes from $44,160 to $ 57,240 per year (depending on number of tenants).
The people of new York that fit all the requirements of the lottery can apply until 31 October 2017 . Residents of Brooklyn Community Board 2 will be given preference to 50 percent of cases.
