About 7,500 candidates hoping to be among the elect, and live in an «affordable» apartments, rental which will cost from $2,216 per month. At first glance, the amount seems to be not the most attractive, but given that the building is located around the corner from Columbus Circle and Central Park, the proposal can still be considered in the category of «desirable acquisitions».

On Friday, the Department of housing and environment of new York opened the application process for obtaining apartments in the building One Columbus Place. The building 51 floor and 729 apartments, which offer beautiful views of the Park and the city skyline.

According to the Housing Department, in an enviable high-rise on the corner of West 59th Street and Ninth Avenueavailable are 183 apartments. Are eligible to apply for those earning 130 percent of median income in area ($72 549 to rent a Studio by one person to $124 020 to rent an apartment with two bedrooms a family of four). Monthly rent ranges from $2,116 for a Studio, $2,270 for one bedroom apartments and $ 2,733 for an apartment with two bedrooms.

If you are lucky to be the luckiest of 7,500 people, your patience will be rewarded with an apartment in a luxurious building with Concierge, fitness center, Laundry, garage, children’s playroom and lounge area and patio (though all these amenities available for a fee).

Those who do not mind to tempt fate and not in a hurry, can apply through Housing Connect website or send documents by mail no later than 18 October.
