Affordable housing in new York: an apartment for $1,015 per month

In a diverse range of housing lotteries new York city has a new link. This time the brand new flats which can be rented at a relatively low price, located in a luxury building Brooklyn at 10 Lexington Avenue, between Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The lottery involved 17 one-bedroom apartments, the rent for which will amount to $1,015 per month, provided that the income is 60% of average income by area. The offer looks quite generous, given the fact that the building, built architectural firm STUDIOSC, boasting a private courtyard, viewing deck on the roof, Laundry service, fitness centre and lounge.

At the beginning of the construction, the architects stated that they are going to create a structure which is not only beautiful, but also functional. The result is a residential building with 82 apartments, each with huge Windows that ensure the interior necessary for a pleasant life with natural light, high ceilings that add spaciousness, climate control, creating comfort in the room, and the nice parquet floors, pleasing to the eye. Highlights of the kitchens are valves, which are activated by touch, luxury granite countertops and marble aprons.

The people of new York, comply with all the conditions can apply for participation in the lottery until October 30, 2017. Residents of Manhattan Community Board 2 will receive preference for 50 percent of cases. More information about how to apply, is available here (pdf).
