Skyscrapers are one of the landmarks of new York, along with the yellow taxis, Central Park and the statue of Liberty. The most famous are the Empire state building and the Chrysler building, built in the last century. However, the growth of the Big Apple does not stop until now, and from time to time various architectural firms represent a new breathtaking projects, one more ambitious of the other.
On Monday, the company Extell Development (standing for such showy structures as One Manhattan Square and Central Park Tower) and the architectural firm Snøhetta presented to the public building project, which promises to be the tallest skyscraper Upper West side. The skyscraper will be located at 50 West 66th Street between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West.
According to the press release, the building height is 775 feet will be used for different purposes, with 127 condo, as well as the synagogue on the bottom floor. It is known that the structure will be 100 feet taller than the skyscraper at 200 Amsterdam Avenue, which was considered the tallest building, the draft of which was submitted for consideration to the city authorities.

The building, designed by Snøhetta in, consists of three distinct sections: fundamentals mixed-use, residential towers and «crown» at the top of the skyscraper. Each of them is designed to reflect the character and style of the surrounding area, as stated by the architectural firm in a press release.
Exterior features, such as edges and beveled corners create a spacious shared terrace on the 16th floor, as well as private balconies with views of Central Park and the surrounding area. The facade is decorated with polished bronze fittings and glass panels that will catch and reflect the light, literally making the building Shine.
