Apparently, this Christmas season, the city authorities decided to fill up new Yorkers gifts, opening for the fourth housing lottery this week.

This time to get the seductive ability to pay rent in two, and even three times less than ordinary mortals, thanks to the emergence of 98 affordable apartments in a new building at 115 Delancey Street. A 26-storey apartment building is part of a residential complex Essex Crossing, which, according to the plans of the Builder, is designed to completely transform this part of the Lower East side. To participate in the housing lottery, you need to earn 40, 60, 120, or 165 percent of average income by area. In other words, people who prefer to live alone, whose annual salary is under $19,680 — $26,720 may become a lucky tenant of the Studio, which will cost just $519 per month, and a family of 6 with an income of $182,655 can apply to rent an apartment with 3 bedrooms for $3,424 per month.

The building, where apartments that fall under the generous offer of the authorities, boasts a great location close to subway lines F/J/Z/M and bus stops, a private cinema, gym, yoga room, bike storage and lounge.

Candidates that meet all the conditions of the lottery can apply for participation until February 13, 2018. Residents of Manhattan Community Board 3 will receive preference for 50 percent of cases.
