Known worldwide for its iconic TV series «Game of thrones» castle Gosford in Northern Ireland for sale. The starting price of a castle in County Armagh will surprise fans of the book series «a Song of Ice and fire». It’s only £500 thousand ($656 thousand.) less than asking for a home in San Francisco.
Gosford — a copy of Norman medieval castles. It has an area of 3.5 thousand square feet (about 1 km2). The building is divided into 6 separate apartments with 15 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.
Gosford played the role of house Tully in Riverina, where the plot of the show Robert stark was executed Ricarda Karstark. The building is not medieval heritage of the country, because the castle was built from 1819 to 185о year for Archibald Acheson, Earl of Gosford. In 1921 the castle was sold during the Second World war it was used for military purposes. After the war, Gosford came under the leadership of the Ministry of agriculture, and a little later it was again given to the army. In 1983, the castle was turned into a hotel, and in 2006 bought back a total of over 1,000 pounds, but the cost of restoration exceeded the purchase price hundreds of times.
Now it is selling is likely tied to the unprofitability of the room, because in 2013 the price of reconstruction has increased to £7 million. However, the real fans such amounts will not confuse.
