The Governor of new York Andrew Cuomo in the past two weeks several times personally talked with Jeff Bezosa, the founder and head of Amazon, and also called some other key persons of the company.
The New York Times reported today, citing sources in the administration of the Governor, the purpose of contacts is to bring Amazon to the negotiating table and try to save the deal on the location of the headquarters of the company in new York. It is alleged that Cuomo promises Bezos to help to overcome the resistance of some local politicians and trade unions.
It is expected that tomorrow the Times will published an open letter, which was signed by dozens of leaders of public organizations and trade unions with a request to return to negotiations, a promise the Governor broad public support for the project and assigning to it a personal responsibility for their success.
