Builders accidentally demolished the wrong house, although the owner was going to repair it

You know how it is. Yourself come to demolish the house and accidentally take the wrong one.

The historic 97-year-old house in South Dallas (Texas) fell victim to just such a fatal error: a construction crew confused it with another building to be demolished.

According to 7News, the employees of the company JR’s Demolition’t found any markings with a room of the building, but, nevertheless, came to the conclusion that they are in the right place — because of the «running» condition of the house — and the locals, accustomed to the constant demolitions on the street, did not stop them.

The owner of the destroyed building died three years ago, bequeathed his «old friend», Jeremy Wenninger living in California. Wenninger, which planned to restore the house, informed about the demolition only after the fact.

The owner of JR’s Demolition Bobby Lindamood already made a public apology for the incident, stressing that it is the first building for his 35-year career destroyed by mistake. He added that at the moment discussing with Wenninger possible compensation and the ways to solve the problem.
