The owners give away the «haunted» house for free, but there are no people willing to take it

The owners of a creepy old house that reminds someone of Amityville say they cannot get rid of the house because people believe it is haunted. So if you've always wanted to have your own haunted house, this is your chance.

The 4-bedroom home in Youngsville, Louisiana dates back to the 1930s, and during that time has built a pretty creepy reputation for itself.

Real estate agent Sylvia McLain, co-owner of McLain Investments, says she posted pictures of the house on Facebook for someone to pick up her home for free. However, due to the fact that the former tenants have repeatedly complained about «strange incidents» in the house, no one wants to take it even for free.

Sylvia admits that she has heard “all the stories” about the ghost of an elderly woman living in the house and says that one former tenant even called in ghostbusters to try to clear the house of spirits.

But she adds that the owners would like to «preserve the history of the house,» so they offer it for free to anyone who wants to «move it somewhere else for a restaurant.» They themselves want to build a new house on the ground.

Don Vallot Declout, who once lived in the house, claims that the house is indeed haunted and that the spirit of her great-grandmother Adele often appears in the kitchen.

Don said her family had owned the area since 1860. She explains: “We think the ghost is Adele, but she is not evil at all. She probably weighed 100 pounds and was only 4 feet 9 inches tall. She lived to almost 90 and loved to tinker in the kitchen. She was famous for this, and when we lived here, we often heard her jingle pots, as if there was something on the stove. You could hear someone lifting the lid of the pot, but no one was in the kitchen. «

Sylvia, who went to school with Don, says: “I don't know if there are ghosts in the house, but I do know about the rumors surrounding the house. I know people talk a lot about ghosts in the house. Don and her brother always tell the story of their great-grandmother stirring something in a saucepan when they played cards in the living room. That is, there are quite pleasant stories about ghosts living in the house. «
