On June 7 the students of new York can apply for free training

Starting June 7, new York students can apply for free education in the state, writes ABCnews, citing Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Cuomo announced that the Board of Trustees of higher education of the state of new York approved last week the regulations on scholarships Excelsior.

The scholarship covers free tuition at public universities for students whose family income does not exceed 125 thousand dollars a year. In addition, students must independently pay for accommodation and meals.

Students who receive free training, will be required to work in the state the number of years they received the scholarship. If they get a job elsewhere, the remaining money will have to pay as the loan.

It is also reported that the scholarship includes a special flexible terms for military personnel and students with disabilities.

New York became the first state in which students from middle class have the opportunity to obtain free higher education in public universities for two or four years.
